The veil of forgetting is a term RA uses to describe beings in 3rd density that undergo a type of "forgetting of their eternal nature" in order to experience the spectrum of positive and negative polarities. Before the veil of forgetting was created, the purpose of incarnation in 3rd density was to simply learn the way of love, without the contrast of the negative polarity.

RA refers to the veil of forgetting as a great experiment of the Logoi, the One infinite creator, the outcome being unknown.

When we enter 3rd density, we don't have the comprehension that we are an evolving soul. We don't remember where we came from or where we are going. We feel that we are "just a body" with no reference point of being an extension of the One infinite creator experiencing itself in an infinite number of expressions. If we could see the greater picture, it would affect the choices we would make that provide the necessary experiences for growth. It would be similar to knowing the outcome of something before we actually experience the journey of going through it. We would be deprived of the journey, which is what in turn provides the opportunities for growth and evolution. In essence, you would be depriving yourself of choices because you'd already know the outcome.

When beings experience the veil of forgetting, they see themselves as separate and disconnected from their unlimited nature, which in turn opens them up to the concept of fear. Negatively polarized expressions of fear include war, control, and manipulation, which then further increases the negative polarization, giving more power to the service-to-self path. Each being has the freedom of choice to explore the entire spectrum of both positive and negative polarization

3rd density is the only density where there is a veil. Before the veil, the average lifespan of beings on Earth was about 1,000 years as the being understood how to heal itself.

"It was discovered, experientially and empirically, that there were as many ways to penetrate the veil as the imagination of mind/body/spirit complexes could provide. The desire of mind/body/spirit complexes to know that which was unknown drew to them the dreaming and the gradual opening to the seeker of all of the balancing mechanisms leading to adepthood and communication with teach/learners which could pierce this veil."

Within the individual blueprint of each being is a yearning, a strong pull to return to Source, to merge back into Oneness. This yearning leads to the creation of the growth process necessary to pierce the veil, continuing on the evolutionary path through the higher densities of consciousness.
